It also serves as a template for our maturity as Christ followers. Here we are led into the desert, a place of need, no other distractions – a place of simple contemplation – and then God speaks. We need to hear His voice, just as Jesus had His word from the Father at baptism, we too need to hear, and believe the truth of God’s statements about us. From this we move to fruitfulness, reliance and hope in His promises and provision, to praise and worship and back to our first love. The final position is where we finally recognize our Lord as husband with all the attendant benefits, provision and priviliges, not just Lord. Just as Jesus gained His promised authority, rule and reign via obediance, in God’s time and manner, we too gain all He promises, not by our efforts, strategies, and doing – rather we gain our rest by understanding and living in the quiet obedience of thinking, believing, and doing what He instructs, that and no more – nothing at all to prove!

Worship is not restricted to those times where we sing some songs and are attending Church (capital intended to imply the building / gathering place), but every activity we do from our first conscious thoughts in the morning, until we drift off to sleep in the evening, should be an expression of our worship, gratitude, thankfulness, appreciation of every breath, the strength & energy, the abilities we express back to our creator and redeemer.
I do so appreciate the work you have done in examing the intent and values that God makes clear in His word. You have articulated these things well – my thanks for undergoing the battle to get this done.

Having been loved into the Kingdom of God ourselves, do not think that we will beat the lost into understanding God’s values of political justice.

Assuming you mean wont beat the lost ,, as in beat them into submission,, rather than race them into understanding..
Just wonder if there is a clearer way to say it..

Thank you for your questions about Landa’s books. She is now working on a more in depth book called God, the Bible and Political Justice. You can read the unedited version on our website. We are posting it chapter by chapter as Landa is writing it. We are hoping that it will be released to purchase in the new year. Her plan is to do a book on all 8 domains.
